The memory of Mien Herfkens of Chesterville, Ontario, who passed away on September 22, 2024 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband John Herfkens; her parents, Theodorus Peters and Geertruida Peters; and her brother Toon Peters. She is survived by: her children, Theo (Carolyn) of Crysler, Johnny (Monika) of Crysler, Trudy Johnson (Melvin) of Kanata, Albert (Jeanne) of Crysler, Henry (Debbie) of Berwick and Michael (April) of Crysler; her siblings, Henk Peters (late Dini), Anneke van der and Theo Peters (Annie); her grandchildren, Tara, Jodi, Kaitlin (Tony), Jessica (Evan), Mikayla (Zac), Amber (Brandon), Jade (Mark), Adam (Brittany), Zachary (Shelby), Paulina, John, Logan and Kyle; and her great grandchildren, Madison, Jacob, Owen, Brianna, Hailey, Mitchell, Maximus, Lauren, Olivia, Sadie, Lucy, Lewis, Ainslie, Duncan, Harvey, Gordon, Odin and Lily. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home (62 Queen St, Chesterville, ON K0C 1H0). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Presentation Roman Catholic Church (10 Church St, Chesterville, ON K0C1H0).
