He was predeceased by: his siblings, Goldie Butts, Winifred Leslie, Lois Simzer, Kenny and Raymond; and his parents, Harry Simzer and Nina James.

He is survived by: his daughter Cathy Simzer (Gary Locke) of Iroquois; his grandchildren, Sherryl (Tyler Lennon) of Calgary, Darryl Locke of Iroquois, Amanda (Brian Holmes) of Iroquois and James Armstrong of Picton; his great grandchildren, Brittany and Kaitlyn Holmes; his sisters, Mary Moquin of Waterloo and Jean Langford of Cape Vincent; his daughters, Carol (Paul Murray) and Susan (Wayne Sloan); and his grandchildren, Nate Murray and Megan Allyssa Murphy.
