It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ivan Merkley of Chesterville, Ontario, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Merkley; his parents, James Merkley and Helen Merkley; and his brothers, Graham and Claire Merkley.
He is survived by: his siblings, Stella McIntyre of Brockville and Barry Merkley of Chesterville; his nieces and nephews, Kim Merkley-Brown, Vicki Merkley (Richard Taillefer), Corinne Merkley (Chris Kelly), Michael McIntyre (Penny) and Jane Benson (Greg); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Nolan, Rylie, McKenna, Kaley, William, Karen, Troy and Samantha.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion (167 Chesterville Queen St, Chesterville, ON K0C1H0).
