He was predeceased by: his wife Annie Merkley; his grandson Matthew Merkley; and his siblings, Janet Servage and Ronald Merkley. He is survived by: his son Steve Merkley (Colleen) of Chesterville; and his granddaughter Marissa Merkley (Tyler Abbott) of Glen Becker. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
