She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Cross; her parents, Ralph Porteous and Bertha Porteous; and her siblings, Linda, Sheila Porteous, Judy St. Pierre and Eric Porteous.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Cross (Craig Sindall) of Harrowsmith and Brent Cross (Jody) of Chesterville; her siblings, Bob Porteous (Jean) of Winchester, Betty Skuce (Erwin) of Winchester, Barbara Merkley (Jim) of Morewood, Keith Porteous (Helen) of Vernon, Stephen Porteous (Barbara) of Morrisburg and Ron Porteous (Kim) of Winchester; her siblings-in-law, Marlene Black (late Douglas) of Chesterville, Nancy Edgerton (John) of Chesterville and David "Shiny" Cross of Chesterville; her grandchildren, Jayden, Danten, Adam (Ashley), Brent (Candace) and Matt (Holly); and her great grandchildren, Craig, Darren and Lily. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
