He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Amanda Burley of St. Catharines; his mother Beverley Burley of Chesley; his siblings, Donna Burley of St. Catharines and Paul Burley (Teresa Kerry) of Simcoe; his nephew Charles Burley (Katelyn) of St. Catharines; his father Charles Burley; and his half-brother Stephen Burley.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by Rick's family.
