It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martie Dorland (Chesley, Ontario), born in Ottawa, Ontario, who passed away on June 29, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur "Art" Brownson and Mabel "Mabs" Bobier Horwood (Hill); her husband Walter Gerret "Gerry"; her stepson-in-law Sandy MacDougall; her sister-in-law Marilyn "Lyn" Horwood; and also, Arthur "Art" and Mabel "Mabs" Horwood (Hill).
She is survived by: her brother Robert "Bert" Horwood of Picton; her niece Jane McGall (Robert, family: Kevin, Scott, Sarah, Diane); her stepdaughters, Nancy Rogers (Lorne) of Chesley and Marni MacDougall of Duntroon; her stepgrandchildren, David (Evelyn), Andrew (Chantel), Sarah Kate (Daniel), Heidi (Michael), Beth, Katie (Jon), Sandy Jr., Margaret, Rebecca and T. J.; her cousin Kathy Smyth (Stan) of Walkerton; and also, Aiden and Annette.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Bible Society, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship of Canada (IVCF) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
