It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marie Hamel (Chesley, Ontario), who passed away on August 21, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Marie Hamel to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Bailey and Mary Bailey (Hopkins); her sons, Percy, Ivan Hamel (Janice) of Hanover and Ralph Hamel of Walkerton; her husband Harvey; and her brother Richard Bailey.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Dwight (Cindy), Jeremy (Tina), Jason (Gill), Laura, Martin and Steve (Jenn); and her great grandchildren, Vanessa, Alexa, Emma, Cole, Paysen and Jayva.

Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 1 p. m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p. m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 25 people will be allowed in the building at any given time, and visitors must wear a mask and follow physical distancing rules.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the MS Society of Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
