Jean Atton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Atton (Chesley, Ontario), who passed away on October 12, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Whitehead and Gladys Whitehead (Damm); her daughter-in-law Annette Atton; and her brother Howard Whitehead. She is survived by: her husband Walter; her children, Susan Messerschmidt (Paul), Mark and Janet Coulter (Tom) of Fergus; her grandchildren, Christopher (Lesa), Lindsay (Kyle), Kerri (Greg), Kailyn (Jake) and Thomas (Rhiana); her great grandchildren, Makayla, Colton, Ally, Cameron and Kaidance; her sister Ethel Weick (William) of Kitchener; and her sister-in-law Mary Whitehead of Walkerton.

She enjoyed socializing and networking with the other women, and still attended Institute meetings as recently as prior to the pandemic.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Mark's Lutheran Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
