She was predeceased by: her parents, John Benjamin and Lydia Sophia Schwartz (Priebe); her husband Arthur; and her siblings, Lillian Brown (Bert), Raymond, Melvin (Mildred), Gordon, George (Monica) and Arnold.
She is survived by: her pet Patch; her children, Sandra McDermid (Ken) of Port Elgin, Norm (Donna) of Pinkerton, Robert (Debra) of Hanover and Peter (Wendy) of Owen Sound; her grandchildren, Pam, Kristin (Brad), Brian (Michelle), Kyle, Amanda, Michelle (Jeff), Ryan, Daniel, Melissa (Kevin) and Kalvin (Becki); her great grandchildren, Kassie, Madelynn, Korissa, Liam, Kallen, Alayna, Trinity, Isabella, Logan, Tallulah, Carson, Ruby, Madeline and Rowan; her sisters-in-law, Dolly Sowa, Lotty Schwartz and Marie Christie; and also, Charlie and Jennie Reed. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
