Iris Gateman Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 15, 2023, at the age of 82, Iris Gateman (Chesley, Ontario), born in Deloraine, Manitoba passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Iris Gateman to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald "Jerry"; her siblings-in-law, Eleanor McCaslin, Janice Gateman, Jack Calhoun, Bruce McMillan, Buck Pederson and Murray Edwards; and her parent Ellen Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Slesser (Bob) of Tiverton, Paul (Sandra) of Port Elgin and Barry (Janice Reay) of Hanover; her grandchildren, Derek (Lisa), Scott (Sarah), Lisa and Jody (Brett); her great grandchildren, Henry, Eddy and Zane; and also, Carol Calhoun, Ruth Beckenhauer, Don Gateman (Doreen), Glenna McMillan and Jim Gateman (Anne). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Huron Shores Hospice or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
