It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Fran Petrie (Chesley, Ontario), who passed away on January 18, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brother Ian Smith; and her parents, Richard Smith and Jean Smith (Vigus). She is survived by: her spouse John; her children, Debora Hickling of London, Susan Schlorff (John) of Bruce Township, Richard Bentley (Gail) of Kitchener and Wendy Bentley (Kelvin) of Napier; her grandchildren, Amy (Corey), Lindsay (Dave), Sara, Kevin (Ashlee), Cameron and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Payten, Tristen, Carter and Leigha; her brother Lennie Smith (Helen) of Detroit; and her sister-in-law Cheryle Smith of Woodstock. She is also survived by her father cleared the land to make room for the original cabin on Bogie's Beach north of Goderich. "The Bigge Wattee" was a true family affair, as all of Fran's aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Chesley Medical Clinic (cheques payable to Municipality of Arran-Elderslie), Chesley Hospital Foundation or St. John's United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
