He was predeceased by: his parent Marion Thomson (Smart); and his siblings-in-law, Earl and Helen Beech. He is survived by: his sons, Scott (Carol) of Chesley and Elroy; his spouse Bonnie-Jean (Beech); his daughter Carol of Chesley; his grandchildren, Vanessa and Alexa Hamel; his siblings, Harold (Mary Hallam), Ron (Linda), Joan Gibbons and Brad (Darlene); his granddaughter Bella; and also, Norma Klages (George), Jo-Anne Buhr (Dale) and Ron Beech (Kim Samuels). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Chesley Hospital Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
