Clarence Sprung Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clarence Sprung (Chesley, Ontario), who passed away on January 9, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sprung and Ida Sprung (Lipskie); his wife Phyllis (Evers); his son-in-law Cecil Posthumus; and his siblings, Leonard (Clara), Eldon (Christina), Elmer (Blanche), Emerson (Louise), Alex (Muriel), Vera Ramage (Jim), Laverne and Evelyn Sparrow (Jack).
He is survived by: his children, Pat Posthumus of Tara, Penny McLeod (Dave) of Tara and Pam Scott (Tom) of Tara; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Johnson (Gene), Kyle Harron (Nicole), Heidi and Allison McLeod; his great grandchildren, Thorin, Rier, Avalon and Icelynn; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Sprung and Lorne Tuck of Owen Sound.
Although Covid brought many changes, including fewer in-person visits, Clarence learned to adapt as well.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Friends of Gateway or Berford Lake Municipal Park, a place near and dear to Clarence's heart, whereby a memorial will be placed in his honour (please make cheques payable to Penny McLeod), would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
