He was predeceased by: his parents, Noel Dionne and Aurore Dionne; his wife Denyse Dionne; his sisters, Lucille Dionne and Jacqueline Carrière (late Victor); and his siblings-in-law, Madeleine Vaillancourt, Robert Gagné and Marcelle Gagné.

He is survived by: his children, Madeleine Deans (Kerry), Gilbert Dionne (Joanne) and André Dionne; his grandchildren, Lisa and Robert; his great grandchildren, Karim, Kian and Brooks; and his siblings-in-law, Estelle Vaillancourt and Guy Vaillancourt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
