He was predeceased by: his parents, Evan Hargest and Marie Hargest. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Tannahill-Hargest; his children, Christopher Brent Hargest of Kitchener, Kendra Marie Hargest of Owen Sound, Lucas Tannahill (Sara) of Owen Sound and Lindsay Tannahill of Victoria, B. C; his grandson Carter Feltis; his siblings, Lee Anne O'Leary (Brian) of Owen Sound, Greg Hargest (Karen) of Owen Sound and Pam Coulter (Ted) of Owen Sound; and his family Lucas. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

All attending the funeral service must observe Covid 19 protocols.
