He was predeceased by: his parents, John Courneyea and Clara Courneyea (Whalen); and his brother Maurice Courneyea. He is survived by: his wife Luella "Lou"; his child Tracey Courneyea; his granddaughter Helena Courneyea; his siblings, Theresa Courneyea, Sheilah Jacquith, Patrick Courneyea and Clara Desjardins (late Jack); his sister-in-law Mary Courneyea; and his pet Nusi. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
