He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mitchell and Audrey Smith; and his sister Nancy. He is survived by: his wife Vicky Mitchell; his children, Tim Mitchell (Danielle), Daniel Mitchell (Melissa) and Marcy Vander Gaag (Tim); his grandchildren, Reese, Hallie, Beckem, Jay, Laurel, Fysher, Bradley, Curtis and Willem; his great grandchild Kyson; and his siblings, Barb, Wanda, Dawn, Fred, Mark and Rose.

Due to COVID-19, a private family visitation and service will take place on Tuesday, January 19th, 2021 at McKinlay Funeral Home, Chatham.
