He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Ian "Jack" Swift and Lorna Watson Swift; his wife Barbara Ann Swift (Stefanka); his children, Michael Vinson (Jenny), Julie Robertson (Jonathan) and Cheryl Klingbeil (Joshua); his grandchildren, Kayla Schiebel (Tucker), Zach, Titus, Luke, Daniel Vinson, Alex (Julia), Gabriella (Carter), Gideon, Madelyn Robertson, Anna, Mary and Jack Klingbeil; his brothers, Timothy Mark Swift (Sharon) and Stephen Dean Swift (Cheryl); and his nieces and nephews, Leslie Blake (Jeffrey) and Bradley Swift.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Maple City Baptist Church (500 Indian Creek Rd W, Chatham, ON N7M0P4). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
