It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Samuel Houston (Chatham, Ontario), who passed away on October 7, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Samuel Houston to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Houston and Margaret Houston; his grandson Matthew; his siblings, Margaret Oliver (Jim), Alex Houston (Lucy) and Bill Houston; and his daughter-in-law Karri-Ann Houston.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Mark Houston (Jude) of Madison Wisconsin, Eric Houston (Darci Knott) of London, Alison Van Praet (Mark) of Chatham, Matthew Houston (Lynn Bourdon) of Port Carling, Amy Reaume (Paul) of Amherstburg and Andy Houston (Jodi) of Wellington; his grandchildren, Connor, Lauren, Amy, Emma, Jesse, Iain, Emily, Heather, Nikki, Grace, Caleb, Mason, Breanna, Chloe, Dylan, Zachary and Kiara; and his great grandchildren, Alaina, Parker, Austin, Samuel, Nathan, Evan, Jasmine, Bentley, Adam, Millie, Noah and Hallee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and extended family.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, you must schedule your visitation time in advance. All attendees as mandated by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario must wear a mask at all visitations and funerals.

“I wish to express my deepest sympathies to Kathleen and her sons, daughters, grandkids and great grandkids during this sad time. I worked closely with Sam in the 70's and 80's, keeping Air Canada's reservation computer system in Toronto running like a charm. Sam was one of the nicest people I ever had the privilege of working with. He captained our undefeated IT hockey team to the chagrin of the Montreal and Winnipeg teams, and shared in many fond remembrances during the 'greatest generation'.”
