He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Westendorp (Singor) and Joseph Westendorp; and his brother Richard Westendorp. He is survived by: his siblings, Audrey L'Ecuyer (Jim) and Ken Westendorp; and his nieces and nephews, Robert (Rachel), Michael (Ruth Ann), Christopher (Marla) and Mandi (Pedro).

“I'm sure that Roy's passing comes out of the blue for his family and friends. I had the pleasure of being able to speak with him a couple times during the week before his passing. I am personally shocked to hear of his passing, as he seemed to be in good health and he did not speak of any pending problem to speak of. Roy and his entire family were friends of most of my brothers and sisters. since my family first moved to Chatham in 1966. May God receive Roy's eternal soul in perfect grace.”
