He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shepley and Nettie Shepley; his brother William Jr.; his brothers-in-law, Bud Gillett and Gary Cumming; and his stepfather Howard Counter.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his children, Bart, Nancy of Chatham, Bret, Lori (Crawford) of Tobermory, Brad and Colette of Windsor; his grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Zachary, Brittany, Brooks, Bowe and Kianna; his great grandchildren, Andrew, Adair, Griffin and Cooper; his siblings, Patricia Gillett, Judith Cumming and Jerry; and his stepsisters, Catherine and Caroline. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and sisters and brothers –in-law.
