He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Allaert and Rachel Allaert (Craymeersch); his sister Margaret Vandermeersch; and his brothers-in-law, Marshall Vandermeersch and Lyle Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Allaert (Kendall); his daughter Ann Myers Symes (Kevin Cooke); his grandsons, Steven Myers (Angelina) and Jason Myers (Lisa); his great grandchildren, Jaiden, Kohen and Zelia; his siblings, Mary Harris and Francis; his sister-in-law Joan Allaert; his parents-in-law, Basil and Beatrice Kendall (Powers); his siblings-in-law, Kathleen and John Hunter; and also, Amber Fillion, Brian Arnott, Finley and Mason.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6).
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Outreach for Hunger.
