With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Sockett (Chatham, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Sockett and Lewis Sockett; and his siblings, Llewellyn, Doris, Mary, John, Jean, David, Gordon, Colin and Marion.
He is survived by: his wife Celia; his children, Richard, Julie (Anthea) and Sheridan (Bill); his grandchildren, Richard, Katrina, Isabella, Michelena, Colleen (Mark), Rylan, Heidi (Connor) and Nikki; and his great grandchild Rory.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's memory may be made to Doctors Without Borders or New Beginnings.
