He was predeceased by: his parents, Riemer Bouma and Tietje Bouma; his son Raymond Bouma; his grandchildren, Tara Kooy (Phil), Scott VanderSluis, Mark VanderSluis (Susie), Kelly Wright (Ty), Christina Holsappel (Will), Andrea Postma (Caleb), Jonathan Bultje (Hope), Kathryn Pilon (Mark), Edward Bultje, Justin West (Ashley), Jennifer Beaney (Steve), Michael West (Alysha), Anna Neerhof, Cassandra Munshaw (Rodger), Mitchell, Matthew, Alex and Andrew Blommestyn; and his siblings, Akke Talsma Jantje (Marten), Gerrie Vandergoot (Ted), Marie Hoekstra DeBoer (Peter), Fenny Geertsma (Marten), Joe Bouma (Martha), Frank Bouma (Inke) and Okke Bouma (Nita).
He is survived by: his wife Clara Bouma; his children, Kathy Vandersluis (Ike Erickson), Tracy Bultje (George), Sylvia Neerhof (Stan), Lorraine Jongkind (Richard) and Denise Blommestyn (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Ruby Charron (Gary) and Peter DeBoer.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Grace Christian Reformed Church (255 Tweedsmuir Ave W, Chatham, ON N7M3B3). A memorial service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
