He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Mays (Boyle) and James Mays; and his brothers, Richard "Dick" Mays and Paul Mays. He is survived by: his brother John Mays (Rose); his nephew Jim Mays (Sheila); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Gillian, Rachel, Ian, Duncan and Michael Mays (Judy); his niece Patricia Rupnow (Paul); his great-nephews, Connor and Dylan; and also, Ellen and Alexander.
