He was predeceased by: his wife Leona Burton (Nicolas); his parents, Kathleen Burton (Brown) and Frederick Burton; his son Pat Burton (Cindy); and his sisters, Josephine, Evelyn and Marjorie.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Moody (Pat), Paul Burton (Tamara Tulloch), Joe Burton (Nancy) and Cathy Burton (Jason Tulloch); and his siblings, Frances Huff and Fred "Bud" Burton Jr. (Agnes). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
