He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoekstra and Gertrude Hoekstra; his grandson special angel, Mitchell; and his sibling Klaas (Elaine). He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer (Todd), Jacqueline, Janet (David) and Jonann (Gerry); his grandchildren, Mike, Mackenzie, Jessica, Emily, Trevor, Jared, Karrisa and Dillon; and his siblings, John (Betty), Eddie (late Karen) and Agatha (late Brian).
