She was predeceased by: her parents, George Polowick and Mary Polowick; her husband Allan Powers; her stepdaughter Donna Fehr; and her siblings, Helen Kiekens, Doris Vasylev, Katie Halaska, Alice Duck, Annie Atkinson and Bill.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Van Ruymbeke of Kent Bridge, Susan Salenbien (Dave) of Wallaceburg, Sandra Van Ruymbeke (John Gibson) of Toronto, Connie Van Ruymbeke and Carol Van Ruymbeke (Brian Homer); her stepdaughters, Diane Logan (Gary) of Wabash and Sandra Holmes (Mike) of Wabash; and her siblings, Vera Cook, Victoria Bown, John, Alex, Mike and Fred Polowick. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
