It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Capek of Chatham, Ontario, who passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Charles Capek; her parents, Kristina Pakanec (Prevoznik) and Peter Pakanec; her son-in-law Eric Hey; her son Francis'Frankie'Capek; and her sisters, Helen Van De (late Joe) and Antonia (late Fred).

She is survived by: her grandsons, Dalton Matthew Charters, Brandon and Collin Hey; her great grandchild Estelle Marie Hey; her daughter Rosemarie; her son-in-law Dalton Charters; her grandson Dalton Charters IV; her children, Marianne and David Capek (Debbie); her sister Rose Walker; and her close friend Madeliene Ellison (Semkowich). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and sister in laws.
