She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Ernestina Furtado and Manuel Carreiro; and her brothers, Arthur, John Eugenio, Joe and Francisco Carreiro.
She is survived by: her spouse Norberto DeCouto; her children, Mary Ponte (Chuck) of Connecticut, Joe Couto and Arthur Couto of Chatham; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ponte, Jeremy Ponte (Andrea) and Sonia Couto (Ian Waddick); and her great grandchildren, Vanessa Ponte, Ethan, Gavin and Jackson Waddick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
