He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Dodman and Carmen Dodman; his wife Valerie Dodman (Holmes); his brothers, John and Milton; and his brothers-in-law, John Toma, Bob DeClark and Stewart Morton.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Dodman (Beverly Tomlinson) of Mexico, Jeffery Dodman (Helen) of Blenheim and Bill Dodman (Kathleen Dodman Kevany) of Chatham; his grandchildren, Brent, Amie, Tim and Megan; his great grandchildren, Stephanie, Timothy, Mary, Jane, Nate, Gaige and Zoey; his great great grandchildren, Aaliaya and Cruz; his siblings, Vivian Dodman Morton, Donna Dodman DeClark, Lois Toma and Howard (Mary Dodman); and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Schaufler and Pat Dodman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
