He was predeceased by: his parents, Adella "Eva" Zimmer (Goudreau) and Marcus Zimmer; his son-in-law Jay Brodie; his brother Don Zimmer (Pat); and his brothers-in-law, Gerald "Sam" Fuerth and Stanley Rublik.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Zimmer (Rublik); his children, Kevin Zimmer (Brenda) of Ridgetown, Lynn Brodie of Chatham, Lori Badder of Chatham and Lisa Zimmer (David Charbonneau) of Chatham; his grandchildren, Larissa (Jerrod), Jessica (Tadd), William (Lisa), Justine (Ryan), Laura (Brandon), Ian (Stephanie) and Tia; his great grandchildren, Rylie, Brinley, Zoey, Severn, Church, Buzz, Rudy, Dillon, Palmer, Oliver, Spencer and Landon; his sisters, Lorraine Fuerth and Dianne Dejonghe (Firmin); and his siblings-in-law, Ed Rublik (Betty), Fran Bucek (Jerry) and Anne Rublik.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home (245 Wellington St W, Chatham, ON N7M1J9). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church (180 Wellington St W, Chatham, ON N7M5K4).
