She was predeceased by: her parents, Farrington Johnson and Dorthea Johnson; and her siblings, Dorothy Ecker, Marilyn Hogan, Ben Roen and Farrington Johnson.

She is survived by: her close friend David Haye; her children, Candi Johnson, Carleen Cato (Aaron Daly) and Santasha Cato (Chapman); her grandchildren, Shantea Cato (Tylere Befort), Lakiesha Cato, Rashawn Cato, Jaylynn Cato, Ebhoni O'Garro, Jada O'Garro, Matthew Johnson and Christian Johnson; her great grandchildren, Beckham Cato, Princeton Cato and Alayah Befort; and her siblings, Ron Johnson and Linda Campbell.
