He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Veldboom and Mina Veldboom; and his siblings, Johan, Bill, Bernard and Grada.
He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Bonnie (Dennis) and John (Lori); his grandchildren, Kelsey (Derek), Brady and Kaley; and his brother Arnold.
In lieu of flowers, John asked that donations be directed to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
