With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jackie Walker (Chatham, Ontario), who passed away on August 31, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Garrod and Margaret Garrod; her husband Walter Frederick Walker; and her brother Lloyd Garrod (Patricia). She is survived by: her children, Richard (Sylvia Walker), Linda (Wayne Wonnacott), Cathy (Don Couture) and Leslie (Jerry Fisher); her grandchildren, Erica Thomas (Andrew), Erin Walker, Cheryl Stewart (Mike), Brent Wonnacott, Kristen Couture, Jill Richardson (Brian), Andrew Fisher (Jesse), Adam Fisher (Caitlin) and Austin Fisher (Jesse); her great grandchildren, Zachary, Alyssa Thomas, Avery and Chase Stewart; her siblings, Geraldine Deneau (late Alex) and Gerald Garrod (late Marion); and her brother-in-law Bob Walker (late Shirley). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask. With Covid-19 restrictions you likely will be seated in an overflow seat.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Alzheimer Society especially to Jolanda, Michelle, Maggie, Hayley who offered home care which allowed her to stay in her home til almost 91.
