George William Abel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George William Abel (Chatham, Ontario), who passed away on November 14, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice; his sister Marjorie Poissant; and his brothers-in-law, Dave Mathewson and Gerald Myers. He is survived by: his children, George Abel Jr., Mary-Beth Syrie (Scott), Bill Abel (late Melanie) and Lee-Ann Van Zelst (Matt); his grandchildren, Justin Syrie, Joshua Syrie, Brandon Van Zelst (Daliah Mesquita) and Nicole Abel; his sisters, Florence Abel-Mathewson, Bonnie Myers and Mary-Anne Vigil (Paul); and his close friend Pat Spears.
