He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Denys (Verduyn) and Oscar Denys; his stepmother Rachel Denys (Verduyn); and his siblings, Wilfred (Aline), Rosemary Zimmer (Patrick), Jeanne Harding (Jack), Winnifred Gillier (Peter) and Amelia.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Denys (Ouellette); his children, Stephen Denys (Anne), Janet Ainslie (Paul) and David Denys; his grandchildren, Anna, Craig (Emma), Maggie Denys, James, Kathleen and Thomas Ainslie; his children, Leona Strybosch (late William), Laurent, Jozef Denys, Annie Aarts (late Antoon), Rudi (late Margaret), Sabena (Paul), Johan (Sanda), Gabriel (Nel), Theresa and Regina; and his siblings, Mary Frances Kehoe (late Lawrence), Elizabeth Kohel (late Jerome) and Tony Ouellette (Shirley). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and friends.
