With solemn reverence, we commemorate Garry Gales of Chatham, Ontario, whose life came to an end on April 14, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gales and Helen Gales (Martin); his son Stephen Gales; and his sister-in-law Janet James. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Gales (Richardson); his children, Cynthia Fortura (Peter), Lisa Gales and Allan Gales (Shawna); his grandchildren, Laura Lemieux (Zak), Nicholas Fortura, Sophie, Violet, Evelyn Gales and Max Lemieux; his siblings, Gordon Gales (Lucie) and Janet Duffy; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Clark (late Doug) and Nancy Homewood (Chuck). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In memory of Garry, donations can be made to the Thames Christian Fellowship Church or Meals on Wheels Chatham.
