It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Eugene Verfaillie of Chatham, Ontario, who passed away at the age of 89, on April 16, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rene and Zoe; his children, Patrice Forsyth (Tim), Gerald (Penny), Pamela Davidson (Michael) and Charles (Stacy); his stepchildren, Robert Gould, Tammy Gould (Dave), Christopher Murray (Denise) and Jennifer Salisbury; and his siblings, Camille, Daniel and Jeanne.
He is survived by: his spouse Eyvonne Verfaillie; and the mother of his children Betty Salisbury. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Parish (180 Wellington St W, Chatham, ON N7M5K4). A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Maple Leaf Cemetery (55 Maple Leaf Dr, Chatham, ON N7M).
If so desired, donations in memory of Eugene made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Foundation, or St. Jospeh's Parish would be greatly appreciated by the family.
