He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas MacEwan and Gertrude MacEwan; his brother John; and his stepbrothers, Robert "Bobby", Harry, Thomas "Tommy", Chester (Jean MacDonald), Allister, Percy (Muriel Gollan), Nelson, Richard "Dig", Gleason "Mike" and Trixie Keough.

He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Jean Domony (Mike) and Joan Childs (Nicholas) of Edmonton, Alberta.; and his grandchildren, William Childs (Holly), Katherine (Robert Burstall) and Dr. Meghan Domony. He is also survived by his family, and was a hands-on dad.
