Diane left this world on February 4, 2025, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril DeWael (Sonny) and Barb Benore. She is survived by: her daughters, Janilea Smith, Roshelle Mardling (Johnny) and Carolyn Mardling; her grandchildren, Skylar Mardling (Cody) and Kearstyn Mardling; her great grandchild Addalie; her siblings, Sherry Smith (Dana), John DeWael, Dave DeWael (late Carrie) and Randy DeWael (Robin); and her pet Kibbles. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McKinlay Funeral Home - Chatham (459 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L3K6). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
