He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Gibson (Travis) and Robert Gibson; his brother Robert Gibson; and his sisters-in-law, Liane Labadie (Gary) and Lori Scaman.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Gibson (Pelletier); his siblings, Sheila Timbers (Alvin), Diane Letson, Mary Jackson (Bill), Cheryl Gibson and David Gibson; his mother-in-law Marlene Pelletier; and his siblings-in-law, Lynda Beemer (Bob) and Scott Pelletier (Wendy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
