She was predeceased by: her husband Albert "Bert" Simmons; her parents, Annie Cook (Ridgers) and Charles Cook; and her siblings, William Cook and Alice Wilcox.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Longley (Rob) of Burlington and Shelley Deneau (Mike) of Chatham; and her grandchildren, Jason, Josh Deneau and Amy Longley. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
