He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart Brown (late Margaret) and Freda Brown; his stepmother Dorothy McDougall; and his siblings, Danny and Peggy.

He is survived by: his children, Carly Brown (Martin Dagenais), Tim Fisher, Brittany Fisher-Brown (Fraser Bedford), Chris Brown (Madison Walzack) and Jessica Brown; his grandchildren, Dezerae Brown, Devon Brown, Mackenzie Brown, Kendra Brown, Finnley Brown, Hughy Cooper-Brown, Tali, Jada Bedford and Teddy Brown; and the mother of his children Cheri Brown.

Donations made in memory of Barry to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
