He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Nead and Zelma Nead; his wife Lillian Nead; his grandson Jay Nead; and his siblings, Floyd Nead, Howard Nead, Neil Nead, Bert Nead, Shirley Haskell, Pearl Smith and Mabel Hill.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Nead (Jane), Terry Nead (Donna), Randy Nead, Mike Nead and Kristine Jackson (Myles Ellis); his grandchildren, Jeff Nead (Rachael), Rob Nead, Nichole Vanrabaeys (Chad), Kyle Nead, Jessica Kemp (Steven), Bobbi-Jo Nead, Kym Nead and Brandyn Jackson; his great grandchildren, Alec, Kennley Nead, Kiera Nead, Avery, Cameron, Luke, Reece Vanrabaeys, Connor Nead, Amelia, Sutton Kemp and Addison Jackson; and his sisters, Ruby Scratch and Edith Coulter.
