It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allan Van Horne (Chatham, Ontario), who passed away on January 27, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earle Horne and Mary Van Horne. He is survived by: his siblings, Leona, Glenn, Ray, Donne, Marlene and Marilyn; his sisters-in-law, Nita, Marie and Bonnie; and his friend Roy Turner. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

“I'm so saddened to hear of Al's passing. He was my uncle for a short time but i have so many wonderful memories of him. I was the flower girl in his wedding to my aunt. I remember trips to a farm to see a duck pond, he kickstarted my love of reading by taking me to get my very first library card and he took me to my very first movie. We also went to rondeau where he convinced me ewoks were real and lived there in the trees. He was a lovely man. Thoughts and prayers to his family.”
