He was predeceased by: his son David; his parents, Alfred Gavey and Kay Gavey; his brother Wayne Gavey; and his brother-in-law Walter Martini.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Ken, Steve, Tania and Kelli; his grandchildren, Jesse, Brandon, Haleigh, Aaron, Emily, Sara, Griffin, Tiana, Tiffany, Jordan, Uriah and Makayah; his great grandchild Cody; his mother-in-law Connie Woolvett; and his siblings, Rick Gavey and Pam Martini.
