We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2024, at the age of 80, Richard Arthur Smart of Casselman, Ontario, born in Welland, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Richard Arthur departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Richard Arthur may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Richard Arthur leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Smart and Gemma Smart. He is survived by: his spouse Beverley; his sons, David (Karen) of Waterloo, Duane and Darrin of Welland; and his brother-in-law Edward Horvath of St. Catharines. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends.
