He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Vaillancourt and Emma Brosseau; and his siblings, Jean-Paul (John), Roland, Marion Allen and Gertrude Fortais.

He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Vaillancourt; his children, Paul Vaillancourt (Rolande), Lise Smith (Luke) and Denise Vaillancourt (Glenna); his grandchildren, Pat Vaillancourt, André Vaillancourt (Erin), Nick Vaillancourt (Nina), Samantha Sears and Madison Sears; his great grandchildren, Grace, Noah Vaillancourt, Amélie and Aidan Vaillancourt; and his sister Simone Demarchi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Given the exceptional situation we are all experiencing at this time, a private ceremony will take place.
